FEBRUARY 2013

​

The orginization began in the winter of 2013 when I assembled and distributed 25 chemo care bags at MN Oncology Waconia.

WINTER 2013/2014

In the winter of 2013/14, the women at the Shakopee correctional facility began helping. During this time, the women sewed bags, made blankets, and collected donations of various items. I then met with the women and thanked them for all of their hard work.

FALL 2013

 

The expansion of the project began. I hope to get more volunteers and companies involved and assemble even more bags.

SPRING 2014

Donations were plentiful and greatly appreciated. Various companies generously donated supplies and funds. Chanhassen Rotary Club Interact helped assemble 50 bags.

JULY 2014

50 Bags were donated to patients at Frauenshuh Cancer Center in St. Louis Park, MN. Preparation for the Twilight camp events began.

AUGUST 4th-7th 2014

Girl Scouts and parents contributed during Autumn Ridge-Southern Stars Twilight camp by donating supplies, making cards, and painting canvases to be donated to Oncology offices. The girls were taught about the side effects of chemotherapy and what we can do to help. 

AUGUST 2014

25 bags and an inspirational painting were given to patients at Chaska Ridgeview Hematology and Oncology Clinic.

NOVEMBER 11th 2014

 

25 more bags were distributed to patients at the Frauenshuh Cancer Center. 

WINTER 2014/15

 

Donations continued to flow in.

A local Girl Scout troop also collected donations and assembled bags. 

 

NOVEMBER 13th 2014

 

20 bags were distributed to patients at the St. Francis Cancer Center in Shakopee, MN. 

JANUARY 2015

 

Girl Scout troop 10102 helped collect donations and pack tea and sugar-free candy. 

FEBRUARY 2015

 

Bags were distributed at Mayo Clinic in New Prague. 

MARCH 2015

Lauren spoke about the organization at the American Girl Fashion Show.

APRIL 2015

 

20 more bags were distributed to St. Francis Cancer Center in Shakopee  

JULY 2015

 

Burnsville Faith Covenant youth group assembled 74 bags.

AUGUST 2015

 

A total of 75 bags were distributed to St. Francis in Shakopee and MN Oncology in Chaska and Edina. 

OCTOBER 2015

 

The women's group at BMO Harris Bank in Minneapolis collected supplies and assembled 30 bags.

OCTOBER 2015

 

30 bags were dropped off at the St. Francis Cancer Center. 

APRIL 2016

​

Over 70 bags were delivered to the Duke Cancer Center in Durham, NC. Duke Lutherans helped assemble bags and local churches helped collect supplies. 

MAY 2016

 

30 more bags were donated to the Duke Cancer Center in Durham, NC.

JUNE 2016

​

Over 75 bags were delivered to the Frauenshuh Cancer Center in St. Louis Park, MN.

Volunteers helped assemble 82 bags that would be distributed to local oncology patients.

42 bags were dropped off at MN Oncology Chaska and Waconia.

40 bags were given to patients at the St. Francis Cancer Center in Shakopee, MN.

MARCH 2018

 

40 bags were brought to patients at MN Oncology Edina.
